LEAGUE INFO.

Shorbs is currently preparing for the 2009 softball season.  Shorbs will once again be a part of Division 1 in the York league.  Games will be played at Bob Hoffman fields on Monday and Wednesday nights.

2009 Coors Light White Rose Softball League Information

• Team Rosters are due Monday, February 23, 2009, 6:15pm at Voni B. Grimes Gym, 125 E. College Ave, York, PA.  You may also drop them off  prior to February 23 from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday at the Recreation & Park office. (1 Marketway West. 3rd Floor)
• Teams that do not turn in entry forms and/or fee by March 2 at 4:30pm will not be accepted in the league.
• Teams may add 2 players between the dates of March 2, 2009 and May 14, 2009.  Any teams wanting to add players after May 14 must be approved by the Board of Directors.
• Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 6:30pm league meeting at Voni B. Grimes Gym.  ALL TEAMS SHOULD BE PRESENTED)
• LEAGUE PLAY BEGINS THE WEEK OF APRIL 20.

OVERVIEW AND CHANGES OF LEAGUE RULES:

• All divisions will be allowed 1 over the fence home run per inning.
• Batters will start with a 1 and 1 count with no courtesy foul.
• The only approved balls are: Diamond Flyer 2RYSC44 & Demarini XAZZO
• Twenty run rule will apply after three innings, fifteen after four innings, ten run rule will apply after the fifth inning.  Losing team must bat.
• Teams may start with 9 players and add the 10th player up until the 3 full innings are completed.  Teams starting with 10 players may not add an 11th.
• The pitcher may pitch from up to six feet behind the pitching rubber (must pitch within the width of the rubber).
• Umpire fees will be $18.00 per game
• No smoking in the dugout or playing field.  Players caught will be ejected from that game.
